A word from the artist

The final project for my "Drawing from the Model" course, I created these three pieces reflecting an orignal character of mine (Einarr Hroaldsson), who is a werewolf. As somebody with a fascination with monsters, I have been recently thinking about how so many monsters, despite being othered, seem to have a very familiar touch to them, werewolves especially. As a combo of human and wolf, yet its own thing entirely, my pieces were made to showcase the disintegeration of different binaries we tend to adhere to; human against animal and/or monster.
